In order to kick off this site, I want to introduce my book, C Through Marriage, to you.
You are an author, why?
I believe the Lord has led me to share from my experiences of life some of the things I have learned.
What is your genre?
Mainly non-fiction.
Why do you think you are qualified to write what you do?
I have been married for nearly 40 years and in the ministry for over 40 years of my life.
What goals do you have for your writings?
I want to help people understand how to live in a godly way, whether it be at home, church, or in the world. I want to offer material that will challenge my readers to move from where they are at to where the Lord wants them to be.
How do your writings fit into your life goals?
The Lord called me into the ministry 45 years ago. It has been my desire ever since then to spur others on to a deeper walk with Christ in the way they live. C Through Marriage challenges the reader to be more Biblical in how they relate to their spouse, to strive for a relationship that is healthy and whole.
How many books have you written and what are they?
C Through Marriage is my first book.
Are you working on any other projects at this time?
I have two other books ready for the publisher. One is a study guide for C Through Marriage, and the other is a book on the making of a Christian marriage. I have a couple of other things in progress, but I don’t know if they will ever reach the publishing stage.
If you knew before becoming an author what was involved, would you still have done it? Why or why not?
Yes and no. Yes in the sense that I strongly believe the Lord is in it. He put it together and just used me to do it. Knowing that my book comes from the Lord, I could do nothing else but write it and get it published.
If I look at the commitment that it takes to the marketing side of things for the return, probably not. It is good thing the Lord in his wisdom kept me in the dark about marketing until after the book was on the market!
Why should people buy and read your writings?
I write from the heart and do not write over people’s heads. I always strive to offer guidance that leads to a deeper walk with Christ. It is my desire to always edify the body of Christ in whatever I do.
Do your writings mainly entertain or edify your readers?
Edify
