It has been quite awhile since I last wrote on this blog.  I seem to forget that I need to write here.  A lot has happened in my life since I last wrote here.  I just thought I would share with you a few thoughts that I have regarding my life as an author.

For me, it is so much easier to write than it is to market.  I spend an enormous amount of time and energy on marketing with very little to show for it.  It is not unusual considering the amount of available books there are now on the market.  No matter how well a book may be written, it is very hard to get a following unless you have an easily recognizable name in the public eye.

There are many different ways to market a book.  A lot depends on one's personality and resources.  If an author is limited on both, it becomes a difficult process.  What I have learned is that for me, my writing is more of a ministry than it is a means of making money.

I am so thankful for the many opportunities the Lord has given me to touch the lives of others.  I am so thankful for those marriages that have been helped because of what I wrote and for those who benefit from my daily devotionals posted online.   I don't know what the future holds for me as an author, but I do know that as long as the Lord gives me breath and opportunity, I will continue to share with the world what the Lord lays upon my heart.

You may see some of my postings at www.cthroughmarriage.blogspot.com.  I also post my devotions on facebook.  I also like to tweet and can be found at 4248 or under my name.

My prayer is that the Lord will touch many lives for Him through my writings.  I give Him all the praise for whatever good I am able to do.
